My 401k has increased by about a thousand dollars, too. I think this is due to a couple of good days in the market and the fact that I increased my contributions from 10% to 16% previously.

February 2016 Update
There's not a lot of difference from last month by the end of February. After all, it's a slightly shorter month. I managed to tuck away some money into my Ally HYSA and I threw some into my brokerage account. Here, you'll notice, I dumped Betterment and transferred the balance to Vanguard where the fees are lower and I have more control of the funds I choose to invest in.
