March 2016 Update

This was a good month for seeing gains. I'm still not sure how I managed to pull it off, but I was able to invest about $3,300 this month. This was good and bad because in April, I learned I owed $3,400 in taxes (ouch!), so the gains I made here would wash out next month.

A big portion of this growth is due to my 401k contribution. I squirreled away some money into my Ally HYSA as well as my brokerage account at Vanguard.

My net worth at the end of March was $49,313. I was excited because I thought I was about to reach the 50k milestone. Unfortunately, the tax bill in April would delay that celebration.
